This journal is restricted to LiveJournal members only

I just converted all my public posts to "Friends only". I expect to post "Friends only" or maybe "LiveJournal only" in the future. No posts should be visible by non-members (except this post of course).

If you would like to be my LJ-friend (provided you are an LJ-user), please comment to this post

(I found your journal through google)
re: the russians that have friended you.
They are bots, Livejournal Abuse will suspend them if you report them: http://www.livejournal.com/abuse/report.bml

You can find more information here: http://nympholept.livejournal.com/tag/russian+bots

Please pass this information on to any of your friends who are affected.

Thanks for your kind information. Though this is not the case. LiveJournal already declined doing anything about it:

Dear LiveJournal user hrasmus,

Thank you for your report. We have investigated the user you have reported and we see no violations of the LiveJournal Terms of Service. Therefore we cannot take any action on your report at this time.

It is not a violation of the Terms of Service for another user to add you to their Friends list, because it does not grant them any special access to your journal. It only allows the user to read your public entries on their Friends page, instead of going directly to your journal. While you cannot remove yourself from the user's Friends list, you can hide their usernames from your Friend-of list. Instructions on how to do this are available at http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=185.

The user you reported does not appear to have any spam related activity at this time. We cannot take action concerning spam until it actually occurs on the site. If this user does start leaving comments which you believe to be unsolicited advertising, please note that LiveJournal has a semi-automated process for dealing with spam such as this. If you believe the comment is unsolicited advertising, you can delete the comment and mark it as spam, as described in http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=201.

Once this is done, it will be taken care of through LiveJournal's spam reporting process. The Abuse Prevention Team does not directly handle reports of spam, as the spam reporting system is designed to gather aggregate data and actively adapt to handle spam. Handling a situation through the abuse reporting system would prevent the spam reporting system from gathering data.

Regards,
Charlotte
